Job Description

Overview

The Statewide Director of Business Operations will maintain direct oversight and accountability for the delivery of transport resources and business support across the organization. This leader will be the direct supervisor of leaders and team members supporting statewide logistics, technology, ground assets, and air assets. This leader will serve as the primary relationship owner and partner with IU Health colleagues in supply chain, facilities, pharmacy, corporate real estate, and IS/IT. They will serve as the primary operational partner with Metro Aviation and IU Health Revenue Cycle Services. They will serve as a champion for the IU Health Values and maintain strategic focus on the delivery of safe, quality patient care and operational excellence for both team members and customers.

  QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
  • CMTE (Certified Medical Transport Executive) credential strongly encouraged within 3 years of hire.
  • Clinical degree/training as an RN; RT; or Paramedic is highly preferred.
  • Requires interpersonal; negotiation and presentation skills; with the ability to lead groups and programs.
  • Requires knowledge and experience in finance; operations management; strategic planning and community relations, Strong demonstrated transformational and complex, matrixed leadership skills (inspiring, problem solving, communication across multiple organizations, executing) to champion Leading to Preeminence.
  • Requires experience managing multiple complex projects involving multiple customers, interests and goals.
  • Strong blend of management skills and technical expertise demonstrated by superior planning, decision-making, negotiation, leadership, and financial management skills/knowledge, with a focus to adding value to the bottom line of the business to foster a preeminent healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with all levels of employees, management and community leaders and a proven leader who is an effective, creative, and visionary problem solver.
  • A proven leader of people is able to recruit, develop and mentor a top-notch team capable of supporting future growth and has demonstrated leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and community.
  • Requires experience designing organizational structures to achieve business and operational results.
  • Requires knowledge of industry issues, demonstrated experience and results such as 2nd Curve (transition from volume based to value-based economics), accountable care and insurance/population risk models.
