Overview
The Executive Director, Virtual Care is responsible for developing robust virtual care strategies and driving the implementation of all virtual care growth and operations for IU Health. They are responsible the delivery of the best possible patient and team member experience through reliability, ease of use, and effectiveness and will partner with the IUH technology team to ensure the virtual care technology supports the goals. This role collaborates with senior leadership and front-line team members, executes organizational development strategy, and motivates change initiatives across the system to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives. This leader will partner with the IUH technology team to advance the reach of care and patient services in ways that enhance the experience of patients in every part of the IU Health system. The Executive Director, Virtual Care will partner with senior administrative and clinical leadership across IU Health to evaluate and execute internal and external strategic partners. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, System Health Solutions, Clinical Operations. The position will have four direct reports with an organization size of approximately 150 team members.
The IU Health virtual care organization played a key role during the Covid-19 pandemic response, and it has advanced the overall virtual care strategy three years ahead of the strategic schedule. Some of the contributions to new services have included:
