The Clinical Manager of Operations combines clinical experience and modern leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. The Clinical Leader will co-lead the Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units, and they will have direct responsibility over Lactation services as well. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, phenomenal patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will own an interprofessional team to build an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards. Provides oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays. Will collaborate with the current Manager to flex hours to insure visibility for all team members.
This leader will work closely with physicians to cultivate collaboration and team work to share the mentoring or shift coordinators and optimally lead and manage Women Services at IU North Indiana.
