Job Description

Overview

Apply for a RCS - CMC Technical Project Manager role with IU Health! The working hours will be M-F approx 8-5pm. This will be a hybrid or remote schedule! This role will be part of the Revenue Cycle Information Systems (RCIS) department within the RCIS Charge Services team.

As the CMC Technical Project Manager, the primary responsibilities are to help keep all technical build items organized and follow up on all tasks to ensure build is completed in a timely manner to prevent any delays in the project. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary resource between RCIS and IIS teams to initiate conversations related to workflows, system design, and build. The TPM should engage executive team members and various resource managers to provide input to the project. Specific TPM responsibilities are listed below:

  • Attend each service line call, take call notes, and provide assistance on calls when technical questions are asked and appropriate SME or team is not on
  • Organize all DCW, Assessment, and Specialty workflow information to identify missing items, gaps, or concerns
  • Open Master CW Release for all upstream Cerner build and represent on IIS change control
  • Task all IIS teams for system build
  • Track all IIS CW tasks to ensure build is being completed in a timely manner so our project won't get off track
  • Serve as the primary resource between RCIS and IIS teams to initiate conversations related to workflows, system design, and build and help lead decision making discussions for IS groups
  • Attend leadership huddle in the morning and communicate discussion topics/decisions to team
  • Lead weekly huddle to get status updates on analysis, design, build, and testing
  • Be an active member of all analysis/design discussions, help determine future state design for CMC, and document all decisions
  • Assist team with any build review or QA as needed
  • Organize/update all outstanding items and concerns so anyone can review and assess project status at any time
  • Set and provide dates for each phase for all IS analysis, building, testing, and cutover
  • Maintain technical pieces of project plan
  • Closely track dates and escalate to manager and PM when dates are at risk of not being met
Requirements:
  • Requires Bachelors degree. PMP (Project Management Process) certification preferred. Requires project management experience.
  • Requires facilitation skills to successfully organize and motivate an inter-disciplinary team to accomplish project goals in a tight timeframe.
  • Requires ability to prioritize and process multiple complex projects; deadlines; and processes with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Requires ability to gain knowledge of system departments and affiliate organizations.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma or other performance improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Requires ability to maintain confidential communication and use judgment and discretion.
  • Requires strong written, verbal, presentation and customer service skills.
  • Requires ability to exercise good judgment within established guidelines, and demonstrate maturity as a visible representative of the organization.
  • Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, and self-motivate
