Intermediate Benefits Consultant

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report benefits metrics using Oracle, vendor systems, and Excel to compile and assess data
  • Support standard reporting needs and ad hoc information requests using internal reports and external vendor databases
  • Recommends and implements improvements to programs, services and processes
  • Researches and analyzes program design alternatives and tests proposals prior to implementation
  • Assist in consulting management, HR partners, and team members regarding benefits programs and policies 
  • Interact with internal and external resources to ensure proper program/policy design and ongoing administration which complies with legal and contractual requirements

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to capture the essence of complex information
  • Strong problem-solving skills; attention to detail; ability to self-direct with minimal supervision, problem-solve, demonstrate judgement, and work well under pressure
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Requires experience in the design, development, and administration of benefits and/or retirement programs
  • Requires knowledge and understanding of benefits programs and policies
  • Requires ability to apply and understand a variety of technical regulations and laws (e.g.; ERISA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.)
  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment preferred

Requirements


 Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Nursing, related field, or equivalent years of experience.
•Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Requires experience in the design, development, and administration of benefits and/or retirement programs.
• Requires knowledge and understanding of benefits programs and policies.
• Requires ability to apply and understand a variety of technical regulations and laws (e.g. ; ERISA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.).
• Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.
