Job Description

Overview

Develops, coordinates, and oversees medical services that assure a multidisciplinary, comprehensive, patient-oriented approach to care that is compatible with and supportive of the patient care, teaching, and research missions of Indiana University Health, the Indiana University School of Medicine, and other major affiliates of those entities. Oversees the appropriateness, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the medical care delivered by staff and specialty physicians. Drives preeminence throughout the assigned areas. Preeminence is being acknowledged by peers as a leader in quality, clinical care, education, and research. Serves as a partner of the leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and the attainment of goals for area of responsibility.

 Requires an MD or DO, board certified and licensed to practice in the State of Indiana.
• Course work in the areas of Health Administration, Health Financing, Insurance and/or Personnel Management is preferred.
• May require Lean training at Bronze level or higher within 6 months of hire date.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Requires knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines.
• Requires experience with the efficiencies of medical practices in a nonprofit environment.
• Requires the ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
