Overview
Provides progressive leadership to the Professional Standards Section of the IU Health Department of Public Safety. Management of the day-to-day functions such as operational investigation, information sharing, training and policy needs of the department as they relate to the IU Health Mission and Values. Responsible for management of agency investigative, evidence, and chains of custody issues in alignment with the Department of Public Safety's Statement of Support to the IU Health Mission and Values. Ensures policy alignment to include the safety and security of employees, patients, visitors and their property, as well as corporate assets at their assigned campus. Coordinates compliance with the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) and information sharing between key internal and external partners. Directs development and execution of a department-wide training program. Engages with internal and external services and resources, including local, county, state, university and federal public safety agencies, behavioral health services and healthcare providers.
