Provides functional mentorship and serves as the lead in daily activities of the department. Assists in the supervision of patient flow from point of entry to destination and ensures timely, accurate, and professional service. Monitors workflow, quality, and performance and provides direction, guidance and oversight in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Recognizes improvement opportunities, helps to implement solutions, and handles complex or unresolved issues. Leads the team in assuring patient encounter is priority and at best interest. Department cares for medical weight loss patients
High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA preferred.
Requires 4+ years of proven experience in a health care setting; ICD-10 and CPT coding experience required.
Requires experience in admitting and billing or collections.
Requires knowledge and understanding of hospital policies and procedures relating to claims submission.
Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology required.
Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
