The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and education without face-to-face patient interaction. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. This position will perform duties associated with allocating prep for colonoscopy and will serve as a back-office RN including assessing patient’s medical history and educating patients on upcoming outpatient procedures. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Position is Monday - Friday, no weekends, no holidays. Offering a hybrid schedule once team member is oriented. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nursing, preferably in an outpatient setting or procedural/surgical unit.

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
