Job Description

Overview

Manages the staff and processes related to inventory management for the assigned areas. Team is responsible to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensures inventory is available and ready for use. The team’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

- Coordinating disposal, return, and reallocation of obsolete items in the inventory 

- Filing claims with manufacturers when defective goods are found in inventory 

- Auditing inventory on a regular basis  

- Reviewing reporting to provide information to management & customers 

- Coordinating with Buyers to keep up to date status of shipments and tracking information 

- Serving as a liaison with shipping companies to ensure timely and cost effective shipping methods are utilized 

- Maintaining replenishment of Logistics and Distribution office supplies 

Requires on-call rotation and weekend coverage. Reports to the Regional Director of Supply Chain at Riley Children’s Health.  Collaborates with the Manager of Supply Chain Operations to ensure care givers have the supplies they need. 

 Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred. 
• Requires 8 years of relevant experience; at least 1 year supervisory experience preferred. 
• Requires the ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment and must obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 2 weeks of first day. ,Some assignments may require valid Drivers License for the State of Indiana. 
• Requires previous ERP or Warehouse Management System experience.  
• Requires the continuous ability to: lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist; lift up to 20 pounds from waist to over-the-head; carry up to 25 pounds.
