Job Description

Overview

The Communications and Engagement Manager - Revenue Cycle Services will execute plans and lead initiatives or projects consistent with IU Health system engagement strategy and initiatives. Collaborates with management and peers within RCS and System Finance to foster learning and development opportunities and communication efforts. Leverages approaches or programs from IU Health System Finance to design RCS learning opportunities and create forums for professional development. Identifies opportunities to engage with the Indianapolis community for volunteering or special event programming. Embraces IU Health Values and contributes to the adoption within the area. Key job duties and responsibilities include: planning, implementing, and overseeing logistics for internal events and programs such as leader and team member development opportunities, celebrations, team member engagement surveys, awards, and teambuilding events. Drives the high-volume communications strategy by developing compelling content such as newsletters, brochures, videos, social media posts, internal announcements, and presentations. 

The RCS – Manager of Communications and Engagement is responsible for overseeing, developing, and facilitating key Team Member Experience efforts including:

- All communications efforts (newsletters, ad hoc needs, visual/video media, etc.),
- Meaningful engagement events (town halls, celebrations, development opportunities, etc.),

The manager will execute plans that support the communications and engagement efforts of Revenue Cycle Services (RCS). All work will be in alignment with the Team Member Experience strategy for RCS, System Finance, and Corporate Real Estate. This role develops and supports a full range of activities that deliver on internal objectives to increase engagement, increase retention, and further Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals. This position requires outstanding writing, speaking, and project management skills, thorough knowledge of the communications channels used in the organization, strong process orientation, and attention to detail that has been demonstrated in a corporate environment.

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Human Resources or a variety of Business/Administrative OR 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated communications, engagement, and progressive people leadership expertise.
  • Requires 5-7 years of experience leading strategies and event execution for large organizations.
  • Requires demonstrated communications, engagement, and progressive people leadership expertise.
  • Requires expert knowledge of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Requires strong communication and relationship-building skills with all levels of employees, management and community leaders and is a proven leader who is an effective, creative and a visionary problem solver.
