Overview
The Director-Associate Chief Practice Officer provides leadership in partnership with the Chief Practice Officer (CPO). In collaboration with the CPO, participates in financial, strategic, and operational planning to ensure high quality patient care. The role leads, manages, and is accountable for practice administration and operations to assure goals are achieved. In partnership with the CPO, the leader is responsible for developing robust strategies and driving growth and operations. The Director ensures IU Health’s physician group portfolio delivers the best possible patient and team member experience through quality, accessibility, and great patient care. The position collaborates with executive and senior leadership and front-line team members, executes organizational development strategy, and motivates change initiatives across the portfolio to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives. This position reports directly to the CPO. The incumbent assists with the AAHC future academic and clinical programming and design with facility leaders. The leader coordinates practice and provider acquisitions and integration activities. The Director is accountable for operational strategy as it relates to outpatient staffing models, between visit patient care, defining clinical expectations, and implementation of best practices in all single-specialty clinics. The role supports the CPO on the implementation of annual operating goals particularly in the areas of outpatient clinic optimization/utilization. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of workforce planning. The position works with practice operations and the ambulatory nursing team to develop and implement appropriate and consistent staffing models in the outpatient clinics. The Director-Associate Chief Practice Officer assists with coordination in implementing the statewide unified medical group.
