Responsible for the coordination and implementation of emergency preparedness and business continuity program efforts for facilities including hospitals, outpatient care clinics and laboratory locations. Key job duties and responsibilities include: Managing critical tasks across all phases of emergency management including mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery; Responsibility for successful completion of emergency preparedness activity including planning, organization, resource management, training, exercise, and improvement; Oversight of business continuity planning activity for facilities; Coordination and assistance in the use of EMResources, WebEOC, Live Process, and AlertMedia systems for the organization; Coordination the acquisition and management of emergency management resources/assets to include inventory and maintenance of equipment and supplies; Representing IU Health assigned facilities in emergency preparedness activities, which may include the following organizations: City/county emergency management; county health department; IDHS; MESH; ISDH District 5; NDMS; Airport, and other local healthcare organizations; Facilitating regular IU Health Emergency Management Subcommittee meetings. Success is accomplished through cooperation and collaborative decision-making, develop, maintain, and continually improve the emergency preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities of assigned facilities.
