Job Description

Overview

Apply for an Analyst- Applications Intermediate role with IU Health! The working hours will be Monday through Friday approx. 8am-5pm, with one week on call in rotation with other team members. This position will be located onsite in Indianapolis with some hybrid/remote opportunities after initial training. The position will be part of the IS Clinical Applications department within the Clinical IS Service Desk team!

This position is for an analyst on the Clinical Applications Services team, which supports a variety of non-Cerner clinical applications.  The work includes managing customer issues and requests, system build/monitoring/maintenance, vendor relationships, and projects.  The team primarily works from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, and takes turns covering on-call rotation for a week at a time to assist customers after hours.  Candidates should have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to adapt to a changing body of work, and be good communicators.

Other duties include but not limited to configures, installs, maintains and upgrades hospital information systems hardware and software under general supervision. Administers and maintains security of operating systems. Provides operational support for the organization's information systems, peripheral equipment, and clinical applications. Provides onsite support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware. Solves moderately complex problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.


 Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (Requires experience with application support/analysis, customer service, familiarity with HL7 interfaces, and successful with working both independently and on a team)
• 3-5 years of experience required.
• Prefers experience with databases or clinical applications.
• Requires knowledge of multi application and system interdependencies.
