Job Description

Overview

Supports the creation & implementation of a new Inventory Control team within Riley Children’s Health at IU Health.  Enables the building of this team by supporting the baseline work that needs done to support more effective Inventory Management across Riley Children’s Health.  This includes, but is not limited too 

  • Optimizing the supply rooms across the hospital 
  • Supporting the determination and execution of appropriate par levels for items 
  • Managing reporting to ensure nursing teams have the information they need to care for patients 
  • Documenting the Standard Work and Job Aids to support the ongoing work of this team. 
  • Executing Cycle Counts to provide more accurate inventory levels 

This internship will report to the Regional Director of Supply Chain for Riley Children’s Health and collaborate with the rest of the newly developed Inventory Control team. 


 Bachelor's Degree required.
• Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Must be a first year MBA student.
• 3-5 years of experience required.
• Two or more years of experience in a business analysis role is preferred.
• Requires demonstrated experience with PC applications, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
• Requires proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
