Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who will have the opportunity to collaborate with the brightest minds in medicine! We have an exciting RN Shift Coordinator opportunity!
This position functions as the regularly appointed nursing unit shift charge nurse, working along side the unit staff, coordinating the nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily patient care. The position has responsibility that includes, but is not limited to: providing direction and assistance with problem-solving; ensuring adequate staffing and material resources are available to support patient care; supporting and facilitating efficient operational activities such as bed management and patient throughput, patient test results reporting, identifying and proactively addressing staff education needs, and proactively supporting activities to ensure the highest physician, patient, and family satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Current nursing license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana required.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nursing program accredited through the ACEN or CCNE.
Certifications consistent with clinical area requirements.
Experience level to support a highly skilled ability to lead and to provide effective clinical reasoning, decision-making and clinical thinking.
A high standard of interpersonal, negotiation, collaboration, problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to maintain quality-working relationships.
Ability to recognize and respect cultural diversity.
Dedication to goal-directed, quality patient care outcomes.
Ability to plan and manage resource utilization.
Ability to maintain standards of patient confidentiality.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service skills, with special emphasis on patient/family-centered care.
Ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
Ability to take initiative and plan care toward quality patient outcomes.
