Job Description

Overview

The Program Director of Diversity Recruitment will be responsible for the creation, consultation and successful execution of a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy to support and champion the organization's diversity strategy at every level of the organization. This will be accomplished by:

  • Partnering with executives, clinicians, community organizations, and candidates, both internally and externally, to advance the organization’s diversity recruitment efforts.
  • Identifying diversity recruiting opportunities and developing a strategy to execute them.
  • Strategically selecting which schools we should recruit from and build relationships to ensure alignment.
  • Coaching leaders on embedding inclusive hiring practices into our process.
  • Implementing sustainable, documented processes to support the business and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborating with system Diversity & Inclusion team to ensure alignment.
  • Assisting in direct outreach and relationship building with potential candidates.
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting on operational performance, trending analysis, and market comparisons.
  • Contributing to budgeting and resource allocation planning to ensure that the talent acquisition diversity recruitment investments meet the overall objectives and initiatives.
  • Acting as a liaison and subject matter expert for Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, business leaders, the ERP team, and vendors, while addressing high priority, sensitive issues as needed. ‘
  • Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition leadership team as an operational best practice consultant and implementer, identifying system process improvement opportunities and to streamline diversity recruitment activities.

This position is an individual contributor role and will serve as a key member of the Talent Acquisition leadership team.

  • Vice President of Talent Acquisition, with a dotted line to the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of relevant and complex experience is required.
  • 4-7 years of diversity recruitment experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience recruiting from diverse sources, especially those that support underrepresented minorities in healthcare, including HBCUs, Hispanic, Asian, and other multicultural serving institutions, networks and organizations strongly preferred.
  • Program Management experience is required.
  • Experience handing highly complex, challenging situations requiring exemplary professional judgment and diplomacy is required.
  • Requires experience in a complex, matrix environment undergoing a significant culture shift.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
