Build your career with IU Health. We have an outstanding position available for a Manager of Child Life Services at our Riley Hospital location in Indianapolis.
This position exists to assist the Director in planning, directing and overall operation of the area in providing for the enhancement of the health and social support to program participants. Incumbent is also responsible for the oversight of the Riley Hospital CCTV department and the staff that develop creative programs and facility productions. Accountable for day-to-day operations of unit(s) or center(s) through implementation of strategy, policy, direction and action plans. The incumbent will manage the ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. The position will also be responsible for assuring a comprehensive therapeutic program based in developmental theory and evidence-based interventions.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Requires five years experience as a Child Life Specialist.
• Management experience strongly preferred.
• Requires knowledge in business applications.
• Requires ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
• Requires ability to facilitate and lead work groups.
• Requires ability to apply the organization personnel policies and procedures.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
• Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.

- Requires Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work or related field. Requires Certification as a Child Life Specialist.
