Shifts and Location:

Shifts: Full-time, Nights, Every 4th weekend: Benefits-eligible (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and more!)

Location: Riley Hospital for Children- North (Carmel, IN)

About the Position:

Are you interested in having a positive impact on the lives of your patients, their families and the community? Working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Riley Children's Hospital - North will provide just that opportunity!

Our Respiratory Therapists work collaboratively with our patients, nurses, physicians and many other disciplines to design the best individualized care for each our patients. 

Respiratory therapists provide evidence-based best practice including the latest technologies and therapies. We offer continuing education and professional development opportunities on a routine basis. We have opportunities for growth internally through Advanced Therapist, Clinical Specialist and ECMO technician positions. Our team is responsible for airway management, code response and ventilator management, in addition to providing all respiratory therapy modalities through our inpatient spaces. You will work to full extent of your licensure utilizing several respiratory-driven protocols. We are a staff-led department with endless opportunities for shared leadership and quality improvement.

 Requires current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
• Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
• Requires that the N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam be passed within 13 months of hire date. The 13 month requirement for the RRT is void if hire date is one year past graduation date.
• Requires Healthcare Provider Certification. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Preferred ACLS; PALS; and/or NRP certification.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires the ability to deal with confidential patient information.
• Requires basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR.
