This position exists to provide an increase in onsite health resources and awareness to Indiana University Health team members in the Indianapolis Suburban Region (ISR includes Tipton, West, North and Saxony Hospitals). The intern will assist in coordinating wellbeing programs and activities within the region and supporting the overall ISR wellbeing strategy. Develops and delivers health education programs as assigned. Keeps track on the organization and plans creatively to meet the changing needs of IU Health team members in the ISR.

Travel and work directly onsite at each hospital once a week to assess and evaluate the culture in order to determine what resources are best fit for each location. Develops unique methods to educate team members on current Healthy Results programs and encourage continuous participation for long term lifestyle changes. Evaluates current communication methods to find gaps. Assists with the development of Regional Wellness Committee and evaluates program participation for committee to create strategic goals. Creates and presents wellness workshop(s) based on team member interest for each hospital and assists with New Team Member Orientation to introduce wellbeing to new team members.

Requirements

  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Requires current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree Program; Business-related majors required.
  • Requires GPA of 3.2 or above on a scale of 4.0.
