Summary

We are seeking an RN with IBCLC certification and 3+ years of lactation experience!

This position exists to promote excellence in clinical nursing practice by managing, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising the activities of the lactation program and its employees. This leadership role will guide a team of Lactation consultants across Riley and Methodist campuses serving the maternity, well newborn and neonatal intensive care populations to successfully achieve infant feeding goals. The role will require focus on evidence based practice, high quality outcomes and a compassionate family experience.

Requirements


  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Requires a Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN), MSN preferred
  • Requires strong communication skills in giving and receiving information; providing counseling; and developing positive helping relationships with clients and families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Requires ability to support and mentor employees.
  • Requires ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Requires ability to learn and apply the organization personnel policies and procedures.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
  • Requires strong customer service skills.
  • Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal; problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Requires knowledge of mPINC and Baby Friendly evidence based maternity practices.
